Grandpa Sitting

Mom was getting ready for this weekend while I was playing in the saucer.  (really I was busy watching tv - thankfully someone left it on so I could watch)  Mommy thought she'd take a picture of all my hair before it disappears.  It's already starting to turn blonde up top and on the sides.  It won't be long before it's all blonde and I don't have any of the hair I was born with.

It was a long day of packing to get ready to Grandpa-sit.  Grandpa was having knee surgery and needed someone to stay with him, bring him ice cream and watch some races with him.  It would be a tough job, but I was up for the challenge.

Grandpa's surgery went well.  He tried to escape from the hospital, but the nurses caught him.  Usually they wheel people out in a wheel chair, but not my Grandpa - he was going to walk out on his own.  So the nurse helped him out the front door and to the car.

Back at Grandpa's I felt a nap was in order.  So I went downstairs and slept in the pack-n-play.  It was a little too light, so I pulled the blanket up over my face a bit to make it darker.  I have been doing this at home too!  It's my favorite way to sleep now.

Grandpa and I had a great time playing.  I laid on the floor and played with some toys, cuddled with Grandpa, and I even snuck in some time watching tv.  Mommy and Daddy don't let me watch tv - something about too much stimulation - I think the colors are fascinating!!

In just a few days it will be my turn for surgery again.  I go back for my second and hopefully last laser surgery on the 8th.  My arm looks sooo much better, but isn't completely healed in the center yet.  Mom is a little more nervous this time than she was last time.

I don't really cry anymore when the bandage is changed.  I don't even get scared about it either.  Mom is more nervous that it's going to start hurting again and I'll scream a lot when she changes the bandage.
