really?

After all the time we just logged in the car the day before, all she wanted to do was play in her car seat...while holding a spoon?

new toys not needed

Even with all the new toys and books she just got, a box is the most fun toy of all!!

on our way home...

We were a little crazy and drove overnight to get to Ohio.  This time we drove during the day to get home.  Emberly slept most of the way to Ohio-thank goodness, but this trip would have to be a little different.  She enjoyed playing with her new computer and remote control.  Those were the two favorite toys this time.

The drive was slightly more challenging when the sun went down and she wasn't tired enough to sleep, but she couldn't see any of her toys to play with them.

We decided maybe it should be her turn to drive.

Pretty Dress

Grandma Meyers bought this beautiful dress for Emberly.
Emberly had a wonderful time playing on the couch and posing for the camera!!

Out with the Oberhelmans

Daddy decided that maybe I would like to try some lemon.
I thought, "sure I'll try anything at least once!"

It was sooooo sour!!

I continued to try it a few more times, making funny faces each time.  After about the seventh time I decided I didn't want any more lemon.

Christmas Presents

Emberly did really well opening presents...especially the ones in a bag-she's fabulous at emptying things out.  Ripping the paper off wasn't such a big hit this year, but that's ok she still had a blast opening and playing with everything!

Christmas in Ohio 2009

All we had were our winter coats, but it was 50 for half of the time we were in Ohio
- we could have worn our spring coats!!
The grass was still green and some of the plants were still green as well!!

Emberly's first Skyline experience...she LOVED it!!!  (almost as much as her Daddy)

Here's the rocking chair she has at Grandma's house.
She can climb into it all by herself!!!

Bumbo

This is the seat Emberly sits in to eat lunch at the house I nanny at.  Apparently she no longer requires my assistance getting into the seat!  =)  The Bumbo has now become a toy as well as a seat for eating in.  Emily is having a conversation with her as she tries to get comfortable in the seat!

Birthday Present from Grandpa

We went out to Grandpa's house to celebrate Christmas and Emberly got to try out her birthday present as well.  It's a giant ride on tractor-he feet don't come anywhere near the pedals, but she loved being pushed around on it.  She would hold the steering wheel as Dad and Grandpa would push her around on it.  Another fun time at Grandpa's house!

Macy's

We went to visit the 8th floor of Macy's which is decorated every year.  This year it was a day in Santa's workshop.  Although we won't be celebrating Santa in our house, we thought it would be something fun to take Emberly to.  She apparently did not enjoy it as much as we thought she would.  The scared look on her face was there the entire time.  She did, however, look slightly less terrified at the animals.  We were thankful she didn't cry or complain at all!  Maybe next year it won't seem so scary.

Goodbye morning nap...

Recently I have not been napping in the morning.  Not every day, but a few days a week I just don't feel sleepy enough to nap in the morning.  Usually I just play in the crib with my blankie and monkey, but today I got a little adventurous.

Not only did I pull the lid off the hamper, but I pulled out tons of clothes from the hamper into the crib with me. I made quite the mess for Mommy to clean up.  Mommy wasn't upset.  She and Daddy thought it was pretty funny-more so because there isn't anywhere else in the room to put the hamper so it's bound to keep happening =)

How did I get this cute?

We are still wondering...

How we lucked out and got such an adorable little girl!!

Mommy's Helper

Here I am helping Mommy while she's on the computer.  It's so much fun to pull everything off of shelves and out of boxes!!

Christmas Card

Mommy thought this hat was super cute and I should wear it for the picture for our Christmas card.

Mom and Dad thought they needed hats too, but let's be honest-I'm way cuter in mine =)

Big kid cups

As you can plainly see there were two choices set out for me.  I decided, being that I am a whole year old, I should use the big kid cup instead of the sippy cup.

Sometimes I actually get to drink something out of the cup, but most of the time I just have fun trying.  Really the best part is the look on Mommy and Daddy's faces when I lay the cup down and everything spills out from it.

Making a birthday card

Mom said we were going to make a birthday card for a friend.  While she got the paper I played with this cool hanger and Boots-who is hiding in the bag.

Then Mommy made the card.  She let me hold it and draw on it a little bit.

Really my favorite part is just holding Mommy's pens.
 I love all the colors!!
