Messy Girl

The picture doesn't do justice to the mess on her shirt she's hiding behind her hands...

What a busy day-she pretty much destroyed the outfit she had on. She was the messiest I have ever let her get today, but wow was the day fun!!

She was busy at the beach earlier, and then we had a bunch of friends and some family over for a bbq and there were tasty desserts and chalk to play with!!

Memorial Day

We decided it would be fun to go to the beach-the weather was perfect!

Emberly loves the water and walking out really far with Daddy.

She also loves to splash around in the shallow part.

I guess 'girly-ness' is a genetic trait??

It's not like we train her to wear jewelry and carry a bag around, but it's always entertaining!

Minnehaha Bunny

We took a quick walk before the rain and stopped at the bunny on the Parkway.

Emberly was a little scared of the giant creature initially

Then since Daddy was sitting on it it was alright for her to sit as well.

Then Mommy got to take pictures with Emberly!

After all the fun, we relaxed on the bench nearby.

First trip to Nokomis Beach

We decided it was a good morning for a walk. We loaded Emberly up in the wagon and headed out. After a while we thought the beach might be fun to check out since it's warm enough... really we should have thought this process through a little more-all we had with us was the diaper bag...so a couple of extra diapers(regular not the swim kind)-no change of clothes no suit or towel, but we did have sunscreen! =) Emberly loved the water. She walked really far out with Mark in her clothes and played around. When it was time to head back we just rung out her clothes, changed her diaper and went home to bathe her. She didn't want to leave. Emberly loved the beach!

Sunscreen

I thought it would be nice if I helped by putting the sunscreen on my face for Mom.

Swimming pool

It was warm enough to set up the swimming pool, but since there wasn't much time left before bed Mom let me play in my clothes!

Mom even played in the pool with me!

I love the kiss the giraffe.

Target Run

We made a quick trip to Target to grab a couple things-protein bars for Dad, a booster seat so I can sit at the table in a big chair and a potty chair-just to have around.

These protein bars look just like yummy granola bars- I wouldn't let Dad put them in the trunk with everything else. I wanted to hold the box- and bust into it!

Lawn Mower

I love to give the lawn mower a good shove down the drive way

and just watch it roll down...

Then I pull it back up and start over again.

Out for a walk

The wagon got a little too bumpy, so I decided to walk for a couple blocks.

Dad showed me the helicopter seeds-they were amazing!!

It was hard to stay focused on walking home with so many neat things to look at.

Weed Killer

Tonight, after a trip to the park with Aunt Booty and Nick, I helped Mom and Dad pull some dandelions out of the yard. I got to wear Dad's gloves and use the fancy weed puller. I even tasted some dirt after Aunt Booty convinced me it was yummy.

OUCH!

Tonight I tripped on the carpet, fell and bumped my face on the coffee table. I was lucky that I only got a little scrape on my eyebrow.

Boots

Emberly was so excited that Boots actually allowed her to touch him.

I was surprised he laid there long enough not only for her to pet him, but long enough for me to grab the camera and take pictures of her petting him.

Emberly loves to take her toys for walks in the stroller. She loads them up, buckles them in and goes around the coffee table and into the kitchen.
