Curly Hair

Emberly sees me(mom) wearing her hair curly sometimes and wanted to give it a try.

Actually she asked if I could make her hair curly like Ella's.

She was so excited to have curly hair today.

She wore her curly hair under her Care Bear costume trick or treating.

We went to the MOA to go trick or treating-instead of going in the freezing cold. Emberly hasn't napped since the day Kyprian was born, despite needing one daily still. Both kids fell asleep in the car on the way. We weren't sure if we should wake her up to go or turn around and go home. We thought she would be really sad if she discovered she hadn't gone trick or treating, so we woke her up and went in. She loved it! And we loved that she didn't get tons of candy =)

Halloween!

At a Halloween party! Clearly the party isn't nearly exciting enough for Kyprian.

Kyprian doesn't even care that his picture is being taken.

The rest of the family enjoyed the party. We came as another family-The Mellemas. Mark was Mark, Melinda was Patty, Emberly was supposed to be Seth (she wasn't too keen about that idea) and Kyprian was their dog Rex. I have no idea why we didn't win a prize for best costume-we were by far the most amazing group picture.

Unexpected Blessings

Here we are on our way to the MOA. We were going to get Emberly a Minnie Mouse doll to help with bedtime. (she'll tell you it's the girl Mickey Mouse though)

While at the Mall we noticed that Mickey and Minnie Mouse would be there taking pictures with people. We had some time to kill before pictures started and decided to stay because we knew how excited Emberly would be. We ate lunch and then were headed down to take a picture and go home. A lady with a little girl in a stroller stopped us and gave us 50 points to Nickelodeon Universe. She said she was unable to use them all and she wanted us to have them. We were shocked!

While we were there, we noticed that you could have your picture taken with Minnie. Someone else also noticed and insisted on standing in line to have her picture taken. We were in line for a little while when Mickey and Minnie switched places. Minnie went to have some lunch and go to the bathroom (that's what we told Emberly anyway). Emberly (as well as most of the girls in front of us) were devastated that Minnie had left and we might not be able to take a picture with her. I guess they switch out every 30 mins. Now that Mickey was taking pictures the line seemed to move faster. It's probably the one time we have been in a line waiting with both kids and I wanted the line to go slower. We finally get up to the front of the line and there are about 4 families in front of us. Emberly is still asking about Minnie, in hopes that she will return and I'm secretly hoping we get to take a picture with Mickey-he's always been my favorite. It's only been about 20 mins, so I was thinking Minnie wasn't coming back in time. As we stand at the front of the line, Minnie returns!!!! The excitement which came across Emberly's face was priceless. And for me the better part was that as they switched places again, Mickey came over to only us and make a quick little stop.

Precious Moments

There aren't very many times when I get to just sit and hold sleeping babies...or kids. Emberly is so busy with everything she doesn't like to just cuddle anymore. Kyprian is growing so fast. He's busy always watching Emberly.

There's just something amazing about holding your baby as he sleeps so contentedly.

This cute little ensemble is probably one of her favorites. She also loves to have her hair in braids. And of course she's busy playing with her 'little people.'

I know I have a similar picture of Emberly sleeping the same way in the bouncy seat and wanted to be a bit cheesy and have the same picture of Kyprian. Needless to say if we have more children who sleep in this chair-I will be taking the same picture of them.

Costume Contest

Any excuse to wear your Halloween costume is a good one. There was a costume contest at the mall today, so we put our costumes on and went.

Emberly was thrilled she got to wear her 'rainbow costume' as she calls it.

She doesn't fully understand the amazingness of this $5 find.

The Care Bear costume you see is complete with a red heart on the butt-just like the real deal!

Fall Retreat

After an exhausting weekend with the youth group at fall retreat, Daddy tucked Emberly in for the night...and apparently tucked himself in as well. I like that she was holding his finger when they fell asleep.

It sure feels nice to be clean, but it's rather chilly when you get done.

A nap must be in order after cleaning up.

(I'm sure this is the safest way to nap too, right? On the couch, with a baby wrapped like a burrito on the side of the couch where he could easily fall off)

Mark clearly doesn't get enough sleep during the night while he sleeps through me getting up to change and feed Kyprian.

Sweet Dreams Little One

I went in to peek on Emberly to see if she was sleeping.

Obviously she was, but the surprise was that she fell asleep holding mo mo (her monkey) and both of her bibles.

Potty training

Emberly is doing a great job trying to use the potty chair. Today she grabbed her bible, sat down and started reading.

Washing the car

Mom and Dad washed the car today. Kyprian was busy sleeping, but I got to help. Dad had to show me how to spray away from the car so I wouldn't get the windows wet while Mom tried to put the RainX stuff on. I had a ton of fun washing all kinds of things with the hose.

I got to spray the alley

It was really dirty.

I also took care of the space between the garage and driveway.
